Accommodation and supported living

Our facilities for young adults

We provide supported accommodation for young people aged 16 to 25 years to develop their independent living skills and prepare them to either return home, transition to new placement or live more independently as adults. We are CQC registered.

Among the various services provided will be programmes of independence that will include the following:

  • Maintaining daily routines with a structure and purpose.
  • Working on independent living skills such as meal preparation and personal care
  • Managing their living space including cleaning, washing up, laundry and ironing
  • Developing budgeting skills
  • Managing household amenities such as water, waste, electricity and heating
  • Maintaining appointments (GP/other health professionals).
  • Supporting and provision of tenancies through our legitimate housing providers.
  • Supporting service users to access and maintain education and or employment.
  • Supporting our service users to engage with Specialist Services such as CAMHS, Youth Offending Service etc.
  • Supporting our service users to access the local community and to engage in activities to promote stimulation and quality of life.

We ensure that service users are housed in quality accommodation carefully matched to meet their individual and unique needs.

Our client group also includes Unaccompanied Asylum Seeking Young People (16-18) supporting them to integrate into mainstream society. We also provide support for parent and baby to enable assessments to be completed within a safe and supported environment.

Support model

We involve the young person and those who know them well in the design and delivery of their support, and place each young person at the centre of decision-making. We use Person-Centred Active Support so that each individual is actively encouraged and enabled to take part in activities and is able to grow and develop their skills and independence. Robust support plans are outcome-focused so that people progress to meet their short, medium and longer term goals. Young people benefit from a Key Worker who regularly reviews their support.

We adapt support to each young person’s daily activities, be that school, college, training or employment. We can provide additional support in the mornings, evenings and at weekends to enable each person to lead a full and varied life. If needed, we can provide continuity of support to young people through to our adult provision.
